Skirted Cup, Mod Star, Tangerine

Skirted Cup, Mod Star, Tangerine
3.75" H x 3.25" x 3.25"
Thrown and trimmed porcelain
This piece has a tiny “whoopsie,” where the vertical wall meets the skirt - a patch of underglaze flaked off after the bisque firing. It is glazed over and totally stable. You can see this patch in the first two images.
Hand-carved stars in a filed of Tangerine, with accents of white and tangerine glaze dots, all covered in Clear Gloss glaze. The shape of the skirt is accentuated by Racing Stripes in Tangerine and Clear Gloss and subtle black underglaze pencil lines. The bottom features a simple glaze dot matrix in Soft Orange.
Mid-range porcelain, made, from wet clay to the last dot of glaze, by me.
Dishwasher and microwave safe, but I recommend hand-washing for more years of enjoyment. Also, never microwave a ceramic object that you suspect has any sort of crack.
